I think it will come as no surprise that we have opinions on Captain America: Civil War. Also probably equally unsurprising is that we liked it. What may not be obvious is that I personally didn’t drown in the Kool-Aid of the MCU as much as I usually do. In fact I have some complaints I’d like to address here on the show for all of you to hear. Prepare yourself for that. It’s a hard life picking apart big blockbuster movies that I still really like, but a true measure of a man is what he does when things get tough. Obviously I’m a great man.
Can I also say that I was kind of hoping one of us would love it and the other would hate it. Then we could have our own Civil War . . . but it wasn’t meant to be. I guess you’ll have to wait until next episode for the official Batman v Superman debate we’re hosting to see that kind of tension. Trust me when I say it will be worth it.

What up, Pod-bitches? Welcome to another episode of our show, Down and Dirty in the MCU, the only podcast that talks exclusively about the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and literally nothing else!
(For those of you who may be newcomers, please know that our show is actually called A Trouble with Words, but we do talk about the MCU a little bit.)
So, Happy June, everyone! I hope you enjoy this episode, and please, please, please, come back in two weeks for a very special debate, featuring a pair of returning guests who will try to convince Josh and I to watch, or not watch, something outside of the MCU for once. It should be exciting!
Also, MCU. I just didn’t think I’d said it enough yet. MCU, MCU, MCU. There.
